CHELSEA eased their way into the fourth round of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ross Barkley gave the Blues a cushion and they held on till full-time for a victory, exactly 12 months after the same score, in the same round of the same competition.
Here is how Alex Terrell rated the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
Caballero 6
Most of the shots aimed the Argentinian’s way were straight down his throat.
Not much to worry about, even when he had to pick the ball out of his net from Ryan Yates’ header… which was disallowed for a clear offside.
James 8
Superb game. Everything you’d want from an attacking full-back.
Dangerous balls into the box, overlapping runs, comfort on the ball, alert defending, ball-winning and a good relationship with the winger ahead of him.
If there is one thing that marks out the modern Premier League from the Championship, it’s this use of full-backs. Booked.
Christensen 6
Most of his contribution was on the ball and the Dane was super assured.
Tomori 6
Was nearly left red-faced when Forest thought they’d won a penalty.
Did not have much to test him, much like his other centre-back colleagues
Emerson 7
Super-assured and was given the chance to cultivate some chemistry with Hudson-Odoi after Lampard switched the wingers over in the second half.
Jorginho 6
Bizarre moment came in the first half, when he was squatted over doing up his shoelaces as play went on around the Italian, with Chelsea even managing to string a good attack together.
In many ways, he was still dictating the play even then.
Kovacic 6
No-nonsense from the Croatia international.
But his shooting from the edge of the box let him down in the second half.
Barkley 7
Started the first half by giving the ball away twice, but grew into it as time went on by using Hudson-Odoi and James outside him.
Final pass remains an issue, but his movement into the box is good, as he showed when rising for a header that hit the post.
ACCA WITH LADBROKES Pick up a whole load of acca features to help you land the big one
Hudson-Odoi 8
Electric performance from the winger, tore Yuri Ribeiro a new one relentlessly in the first half.
He then switched to the right flank in the second and was just as dangerous, if not more so, setting up Barkley for his header that hit the woodwork.
Pedro 6
Superb cut-inside across the box that led to the opening goal.
When both the Spaniard and his opposite winger cut inside together they found each other very well and played some thrilling one-twos.
Batshuayi 4
A bit of a nightmare.
Missed three clear-cut chances inside the penalty spot and failed to take the chance to impress Lampard, who wants to sign a new striker.

Mount (Kovacic 69) 6
A change of shape in the second half saw the England international come into the game.
But he had little to do other than work alongside Hudson-Odoi outside him.
CHELSEA NEWS
Lamptey (Pedro 76) 6
Did well to combine with James on the right and try to carve out similar chances to Hudson-Odoi in the first half.
But by then the game had gone and Chelsea had clicked down a gear.
Great for the 19-year-old to get his home debut, with many more games surely to come.
